John Wesley's New Room is a chapel, a museum, a cafe and meeting rooms – a place where your contribution is needed.

Preserving our rooms for everyone - Our historic buildings need constant attention to stay open as a safe and welcoming place for everyone.  Any money donated is used to maintain our Grade 1 listed building and keep our museum relevant, welcoming and able to meet your needs.

We'd love to get to know you better - Volunteering at John Wesley's New Room gives you the chance to be part of our story in a hands-on way. You will meet new people; develop new skills and become part of a welcoming and supportive community.

From welcoming visitors to the chapel,  helping in our buzzing cafe, or supporting our collections manager in the library and archives, there is room for you to grow your skills and explore your interests. Roles are flexible and include family and education volunteers, event stewards, admin support, research volunteers, tour guiding, maintenance, costumed interpreters and more...
