Book a Speaker - Staff and Volunteer Talks

Staff and volunteers at the New Room, John Wesley’s Chapel can offer talks and presentations to groups and societies depending on their availability. Click here to download a full list of our speakers and some of the talks they can present.

There is no charge for talks, but it is expected that any group requesting a speaker will make a donation to the New Room. All donations will go towards the work of the New Room. Travel expenses may be requested for groups which require a speaker to travel some distance.

Practical arrangements

It is useful if groups are able to supply our speakers with a laptop and projector. If these are not available our speakers would be happy to bring these with them. We do not have a portable screen available, so a wall or screen would need to be available for talks requiring a PowerPoint presentation.

Each talk will vary in length. Most talks will last between 30 minutes to an hour. Once a booking has been confirmed groups will be able to liaise with their confirmed speaker to discuss their preferred talk length and other practical arrangements.
