Wes Talks Digital Download – A Passion for Pilgrimage

What does a pilgrimage entail and how can it change someone’s life? The New Room team invited the co-leaders of the United Methodist Church’s Annual Wesley Pilgrimage to share some thoughts.

This talk explores aspects of pilgrimage and why the experience of being a pilgrim is still an important one. It touches on what pilgrimage is and is not, and the difference between being a pilgrim and a tourist. It explores why pilgrimage is still a passion for many people, and how pilgrimage can change us.

Our speakers for this talk are Revd Steven Manskar and Melanie Gordon (more details below), with input from Revd Richard Sharples.

Hosted by Mandy Briggs and Kate Rogers

Organised in conjunction with the Methodist Church’s Learning Network South West.

Recorded July 2021.  Running time: 1 hr 10 m approx
