This publication contains the text of one of several influential Tracts with which social reformers of the eighteenth century achieved an ending of the slave trade. It is especially important because the brothers John and Charles Wesley were close friends and supporters of William Wilberforce, and their influence extended to a growing body of working citizens whose voice eventually prevailed against the slave merchants of great English ports like Bristol.
