Donate to the New Room
This historic Grade 1 listed 18th century building relies on the support of visitors to remain open as a place of prayer and worship in Bristol city centre. As the ‘cradle of Methodism’, it must be kept in a good state of repair in order to operate as a place where people can continue to come and learn about the life and ministry of John and Charles Wesley and the establishment of the Methodist movement. You can make a donation to the New Room via PayPal using the button below or click here to learn about other ways you can support us. Thank you.
What our visitors say about their experience
-
“Worth popping in, even for the sceptic or non believer. Wonderfully calm and peaceful place bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.”
Will B -
“A peaceful haven in the middle of Broadmead. The history of this place is fascinating. The cafe served the best coffee and snacks and the staff were excellent. It was good to get out of the hassle of shopping into this oasis of calm.”
Whittaker1413 -
“The importance of this venue as the oldest Methodist chapel in the world should not be overlooked. The revamping of the rear of the premises adds an excellent cafe.”
