Stay Safe from Slavery in Bristol

An evening of film and Q&A on the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking.

The event will include opening remarks from Councillor Asher Craig, Deputy Mayor (Communities, Equalities & Public Health) and screenings of an animation and two short films. Our panel of experts will then provide a brief overview of their work followed by a Q&A session. The panellists include:

Chief Inspector Mark Edgington (Chair of Avon and Somerset – Anti Slavery Partnership)

– Major Michael Allen (Spiritual Director, Salvation Army)

– Angela Evans (Team Manager, Asylum Team, Bristol City Council)

– Melissa Blackburn (CEO Unchosen)

The event is linked to our Stay Safe from Slavery project which provides free toolkits full of resources to use with staff and service users, plus access to free films via our website.
