Museum Tour

This volunteer-led tour provides a wonderful introduction to our museum collection and gives an insight into the fascinating stories behind the oldest Methodist building in the world. Step into the Preachers’ Rooms above our historic Chapel to see John Wesley’s bedroom and study, discover the earliest membership books, and try on costumes from our dressing up cupboard.

Tours start from the New Room atrium on the ground floor and are charged at normal museum entry rates. All tours are wheelchair accessible and suitable for visitors of all ages.

John Wesley's New Room

John Wesley’s New Room is a heritage site in the heart of Bristol. It houses a museum, library, café, events and hire space. It is home to the original 18th century chapel that started the Methodist movement.
