This Easter, visitors to Bristol Shopping Quarter are invited to discover a mob of magnificent meerkats displayed in shops across Broadmead, The Galleries, The Arcade, and Cabot Circus from 9 to 23 April. This will be the ninth Easter trail produced by Broadmead BID in partnership with The Methodist Church and John Wesley’s New Room, with the magnificent meerkats following in the footsteps, hoof marks and paw prints of elephants, llamas, and lions.
The trail’s theme is ‘our communities’. Schools and youth groups across the city have been busy decorating the magnificent meerkats and have been asked to consider what community means to them, what is the importance of community and how many communities they feel they belong to. We live in a busy world where it is possible to feel isolated and alone; communities provide a valuable network, enabling us to live and share our lives alongside other people.
Maps showing the Magnificent Meerkats’ locations will be available from John Wesley’s New Room in Broadmead, the information desk in Cabot Circus, and all participating venues. Alternatively, download the map HERE, or follow the trail on the LoyalFree app.
As you discover the meerkats, record their names in the map leaflet. When you have found as many as you can, head to John Wesley’s New Room to collect a small prize. All the meerkats will be displayed in John Wesley’s New Room for one week from 26 April. #MeerkatMob
*Please note, John Wesley’s New Room will be closed from 1pm on Good Friday and on Sundays.
