Explore how drawing can encourage mindfulness and well-being at John Wesley’s New Room. Join Bristol artist Simon Tozer as he leads a relaxed and friendly workshop, followed by tea and cake.
During this experience, you will enjoy an afternoon of trying out simple drawing exercises, including some time in the tranquil 18th Century Chapel. This hidden gem is tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of Bristol City Centre and offers a calming space to enjoy this creative workshop.
At the end of the workshop, you will be served tea and a delicious cake from the Chapel cafe.

About the artist, Simon Tozer:
Simon studied painting at Portsmouth and printmaking at Chelsea College of Art, where he won the British Institution Fund Award. He remained in London after leaving university and worked as a scenic painter and muralist. He moved to Bristol in 2002 and works as a printmaker, illustrator and teacher of screen printing.
Simon’s work has been included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the National Open Art Competition and the RWA Autumn Open. His work is held in several public collections.
