Care & Repair Festival: Singing for Wellbeing Lunchtime Workshop – Collective Sounds

A 45-minute workshop designed to help us reconnect through the simple power of sound. We’ll use our voices together to lower stress and build a sense of belonging. Through easy humming, group echoes, and a gentle singing round, you’ll discover how your voice can soothe your own nervous system while supporting the people around you. You don’t need to be a “singer” to join—you just need to breathe. You’ll leave with a “Community Care Menu” full of small, vocal ways to stay connected and calm in your daily life.

Led by Francesca Best, musical director of the New Room Community Choir. She has designed this workshop to create a restorative power of communal voice. Her mission is to create a safe, accessible space where people can use their breath and voice to lower stress and reclaim a sense of belonging through experiencing the power of collective sound together.
