A Morning with Tom Stuckey

Author and Methodist minister Tom Stuckey returns to John Wesley’s New Room for a study morning reflecting on the themes of his new book.

Tom, a Past President of the Methodist Conference, is a writer, preacher and teacher who has published a popular range of books.

His latest – ‘Covid-19 – God’s Wake-Up Call?’ is a reflection on the last two years. In 18 short Biblical reflections, beginning with the sudden whirlwind disasters of Job, we are taken on a journey from our old normal into the abnormality of the pandemic and out into a new normal.

Tom writes about a sense of anger at injustice and asks questions about how the Church can radically reshape itself for the future.

“In this accessible book, Tom Stuckey weaves together Bible reflections and social critique, asking how the Church’s mission and focus on justice needs to change. This is a provoking read which I hope will prompt new thinking and action.” (Rachel Lampard, The Walking With Micah Project)

Tickets to the morning are £7 and are available through Art Tickets:
