MUSEUM TOURS — 2-for-1 Tickets on February & March 2022 Tours

In 1739, John Wesley built the “New Room”—the oldest Methodist building in the world—here in the heart of Bristol. These tours provide a wonderful introduction to the history of Methodism and 18th century Bristol through the fascinating objects which make up our award-winning museum. Be inspired by the social justice stories of abolition of slavery, as well as workers’ and women’s rights that were initiated by John Wesley and the community around him. Tours last approximately 60 minutes.

Museum Tour (3, 12, 15, 17 February; 1, 12, 15, 29 March, 11:30am) — step into the preachers’ rooms above the chapel to see John Wesley’s bedroom and study, discover the earliest membership books, and try on costumes from our dressing up cupboard.
