Welcome to Charles Wesley’s House, 4 Charles Street, Bristol

The parlour is the room where the Wesleys would have entertained their guests. Many of them would have been the prominent figures of the early Methodist movement: Thomas Coke, George Whitefield, and Selina, Countess of Huntingdon.

In the mornings Charles may have taken his breakfast in this room, and it was in here that the family would have met in the mornings and evenings to pray and to sing hymns together.
