Lunchtime Recital – Stray Local, folk duo

Enjoy our Free Folk Fridays with American-roots folk duo Stray Local on 14th June.

The husband and wife songwriting team of Jamie Rowen and Hannah Lomas began their partnership in 2012 shortly after graduating from UNC-Greensboro School of Music where they met studying classical guitar and voice, respectively. They have since developed their unique and electrifying sound, although not without hints of their southern roots. From playing a vintage acoustic Gibson, mandolin, and harmonica to Telecaster, keyboard, drum pad and even glockenspiel the duo likes to push the boundaries of genre and pave the way for a new indie folk sound.

Their newly released EP Passenger  is soaked with catchy guitar riffs, atmospheric strings, driving rhythms, striking harmonies, and a powerful lead vocal.

Join us at 1.30pm for a free lunchtime recital in the beautiful acoustics of the 18th Century Chapel.
