A Life in Hymns – New Room Hymn Festival

Discover the journey of a hymn writer with speakers from across the UK and of course singing.

Charles Wesley is arguably one of the world’s greatest hymn writers – and many of his hymns would have been sung for the first time at the New Room.  In the year where we celebrate 350 years since the birth of Charles’ mother Susanna, Rev Dr Janet Wootton focuses on women hymn writers and the influence of Susanna in hymnody, with an introduction to the life of Susanna by New Room historical consultant Gary Best.
