Thursday 11th October, 7.30pm (doors 7pm, cafe open from 6.30pm) – Unreserved seating.

Becky Price (accordion and piano), Daniel Wolverson (fiddle and viola), Kate Moran (fiddle and viola) and Matthew Coatsworth (fiddle, viola and concertina) weave together rich arrangements that cement Boldwood’s reputation for spellbinding performances and life enhancing energy.

A decade ago, Boldwood was at the forefront of the rediscovery of traditional English instrumental music from the time of Playford to Jane Austen that lay neglected in handwritten manuscripts and publications. The group’s 2008 debut album Feet, Don’t Fail Me Now won Fatea Magazine’s Tradition Award, and went on to become highly influential to the latest generation of musicians.

Boldwood’s new album Glory of the West, another collection full of undiscovered gems that have been rescued from library shelves and even 18th century fans of printed music that provide a glimpse into society life.
